Aline Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Aline Technologies, Inc. ("Aline", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, or discloses information about you in connection with our website https://aline.co (the "Site") and our products, services, and applications (together with the Site, the "Service").  By visiting the Site or creating an account with the Service, you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to the collection, storage, and use of personal information as detailed in the Policy.

The Policy describes how we use your personal information as a data controller.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information necessary to provide the Service to you.  As an example, Aline must collect information to identify users and to allow users to identify each other.

a. Information you provide

The types of information we collect from you include:

  1. Account information.  Aline collects personal and/or business information that you provide in relation to your account with the Service.  The information may include your name, email, address, and password.  All information associated with your account is hereinafter referred to as "Account Information".
  2. Comments and feedback.  If you provide information to Aline, such as comments or feedback, we collect and use that information even if you are not a registered user of the Service.
  3. Financial information.  We collect payment information and information you provide us in connection with a purchase or payment on the Service (e.g., credit card number, billing address, and payment-related information).  We may utilize a third-party billing and payment processing partner in connection with your purchase or payment, and may provide financial information to such third-party to process your purchase or payment.
  4. Third-party access.  You may invite third-parties to use the Service to negotiate a contract.  By using the Service, those third parties agree to this Policy and data provided to or collected by us is processed and used in accordance with this Policy.
  5. Testimonials and Reviews. We may display testimonials or reviews of satisfied customers. If you provide a testimonial or review you wish to delete or update, you can contact us at support@aline.co.

b. Information we collect automatically

We collect information automatically including:

  1. Cookies. When you use the Service, we may use cookies that allow us to uniquely identify your browser, computer, or device.  You can remove or disable cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s settings.  These may be session cookies, meaning they delete themselves when you leave the Service, or persistent cookies which do not delete themselves and help us recognize you when you return so we can provide a tailored Service. If you disable cookies, certain parts of the Service may be degraded or unusable.
  2. Service Usage and Traffic. We may record information related to your access and use of the Service. This information may include: your requests or actions; IP address; browser type; unique device identifiers; information about your computer or device; number of clicks; how you interact with links, features, or functionalities on the Service; and other such information. We may combine information we collect with information we obtain from other sources.  We may also aggregate and/or de-identify information collected through the Service.  We may use de-identified or aggregated data for any purpose, including for research and marketing.

3. How we share information

Except as disclosed here, we do not rent, sell, or share your personal information with third parties. We share customer information with third parties as follows:

  • To Service Providers and Partners. To service providers, subcontractors, partners, vendors, consultants, and others that assist Aline with any of the purposes outlined in the Policy, including assisting in providing the Service, sending emails, processing payments, measuring traffic, and for other purposes.  Examples of providers include Amazon Web Services, Sendgrid, Stripe, and others.
  • Payment Processing. Aline may use personal information to process a payment and to generate the products and services you order.  Your data may be used to respond to inquiries about purchases, ensure transactions are processed, and send you additional information about Aline and its product and services.
  • Third-Party Marketing.  Unless authorized by you, we do not provide personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
  • As Directed by You. Aline may provide personal information to third parties at your direction or with your consent, such as providing profile or other account information to other users of the Service in accordance with normal operation of the Service, or to third parties in connection with a product offer you expressed interest in.
  • To Related Companies. Aline may provide your information to its affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, and other related companies consistent with the Policy.
  • Required by Law. We may also disclose your information as required by law, such as in response to a legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights.
  • Sale or Other Transfer.  We may share your information and other data in connection with a sale, merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or other similar proceeding.
  • Blogs and Forums.  If you disclose information on Aline's blog or another forum, this information may be read, collected, and used by others who access the blog or forum.  You should use caution when sharing your information in these areas of the Service.

We may also aggregate and de-identify information and share that information in aggregated and anonymized form with third parties.

4. Analytics and advertising

We allow third parties to collect information about you or your device when you use the Service.  The information collected and the manner in which it is used is described above.  We may also use third-party web analytics services in the Service, such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics allows us to better understand how our users interact with our Service and to tailor our advertisements and content to you.  Information on how Google Analytics collects and processes data can be found at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.  We also use Google Analytics for certain purposes related to advertising.

Our partners and affiliates, including Google Analytics (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics and Interest Reporting), may use cookies and web beacons to collect information about your activities on the Service and other websites to provide you targeted advertising based upon your interests.  These partners and affiliates may show ads across the Internet based on your visits to our site, and we may use cookies and web beacons to report how your ad impressions and interactions are related to your visits to Aline's site. You may control your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by vising NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/.

We do not recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals since the industry is still implementing Do Not Track standards.

5. Correction of information

You can change information in the Service by using features and functionality of the Service.  If certain information is unaccessible using the Service and you wish to change that information, you can contact legal@aline.co and we will review your request to change the information.

6. Your options

Below are examples of options you have with respect to your information.

If you want to remove your personal information from the Service, you can close your account by contacting support@aline.co and stop using the Service.

We may send you marketing emails from time to time.  If you do not wish to receive marketing emails, you can unsubscribe from those emails.  If you unsubscribe, you will still receive emails about your account and use of the Service.

As detailed in the Policy, we may collect, share, and permit third parties to use your information to display ads relevant to your interests in the Service and on other websites.  You may be able to opt out of this information collection by actively managing your browser or device settings.  Please refer to such settings for more information related to cookies or other tracking technologies.

7. Data security

Aline takes the security of your personal information seriously. We have taken commercially reasonable steps to secure the Service and your personal information that we collect against loss, misuse, and unauthorized disclosure, including using technical (e.g., encryption, authentication procedures, etc.) and operational measures to secure such information. However, transmission of information over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be secure despite any steps we take to make such transmission secure.  Any transmission of information by you is at your own risk.  ACCORDINGLY, WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR THE THEFT, LOSS, OR INTERCEPTION OF, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR DAMAGE TO, YOUR DATA OR COMMUNICATIONS BY USING THE SITE, APPLICATIONS, AND OUR SERVICES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND AND ASSUME THESE RISKS.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you taking measures to keep your information secure. We recommend you keep your password and information about your account secure and that you log out of the Service when you are not using it, as well as take other reasonable measures to keep your information secure.

8. Data storage and transfer

We store and process your personal information in facilities located in the United States or any other country in which Aline maintains facilities. We may transfer information from the jurisdiction you typically reside in, in which case such jurisdiction may offer a level of protection for personal information that is less than the jurisdiction you reside in. This transfer of information may be necessary for Aline to satisfy any agreements with you.

9. Data retention

We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aline may maintain some or all of this data in its archives even after it has been removed from the Service.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that an individual under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete the personal information to the extent required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)).

11. Third-party websites

The Service may provide links to third-party websites and services and this Policy does not cover the practices of those websites or services. Please review the policies of those websites or services before providing your personal information.
